India is a great tourist destination. One can find all colors of joy in India. It offers all kind of tourism options. India has varied climate and geography which make it a diverse eco land. There are icy and dry mountains, deserts, lakes, rivers, lush green forests, etc. the land is rich in many man made sites also. It is very rich in forts and palaces, monuments, sculptures, temples, mosques, churches, huge building, shopping mall, pagodas, gardens, etc. All these things make India a superb and perfect place to visit.

The only state in India famous for vast expanses of desert is Rajasthan. This state is famous for its barren desert besides colorful culture and majestic forts and palaces. Rajasthan is the house of vast arid Thar Desert. Many of the largest cities of the state lie along the desert. The desert of Rajasthan being very harsh and dry is famous among vacationers for exotic sand dunes and desert safari i.e. ride on the back of camel.
