Eastern Bhutan is the most densely populated region in the Kingdom of Bhutan. This region comprises of cities like Bartsam, Deothang, Khaling, Lhuentse, Mongar, Samdrup Jongkhar, Trashigang, Wamrong and Trashiyangtse. Deothang is a picturesque hill town and known for its fantastic beauty. Lhuntse is the administrative capital of Lhuentse District. It is famous for the Dzong. Mongar is also famous for the Dzong. Samdrup Jongkhar is the administrative centre of the region, regional head of Samdrup Jongkhar district and largest town in eastern Bhutan. These cities offer amazing sightseeing opportunity. Tourists can also enjoy here adventure sports and different outdoor activities.
