Cease fire now in gaza

With already 300 dead and continued shelling of civilians in southern Israel, now is the time to issue a demand to world leaders that the spiralling violence that has characterized the Israeli-Palestinian conflict must come to an end.

Sign the petition on AVAAZ.org calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza - and for peace to be achieved between Israel and Palestine in 2009.

T-shirt with picture of armed robot endangers British aviation system

This poor guy tried to board a BA flight at Heathrow terminal 5 but was turned back and told to change out of his t-shirt, which featured a Transformer robot carrying a gun -- a robot with a gun that apparently posed a threat to flight safety.
 
 
Go through security, get pulled to the side. I'm wearing a French Connection Transformers t-shirt. Bloke starts joking with me is that Megatron. Then he explains that since Megatron is holding a gun, I'm not allowed to fly. WTF? It's a 40 foot tall cartoon robot with a gun as an arm. There is no way this shirt is offensive in any way, and what I'm going to use the shirt to pretend I have a gun?

Bon, j'me suis payé "Universal Preschool" pour 35 milliards, "End hunger and poverty related diseases" pour 195 milliards, Yahoo! pour à peine 46 milliards, une Porsche 911 GT2 pour 200.000 dols et "In Rainbows" de Radiohead pour 6 bucks... ah oui, j'ai aussi remboursé la dette de Liberia (3.7 milliards, une paille), pour voir. Reste plus qu'à dépenser les autres 80% de mon budget shopping. Ca va être dur.
