Be aware that Johannesburg has very high crime levels day and night and tourists must remain alert at all times ...

Those were the first lines I read on the South African Tourism Information brochure in the the plane. Arrived in the big city I discovered how bad was the situation. In my life, I have never been so unconfi in a city like that ...
